It’s less than a fortnight ‘till the nation pops champagne and begins counting down as the sky explodes into millions of flecks of colour and light. It’s high time to plan your New Year’s Eve celebration.

Whether you prefer a simple affair or a loud and boisterous party, there’s something for everyone of all age groups at Sydney’s favourite waterfront local, King Street Wharf.

Dancing Queens

The promenade will be buzzing with excitement, perfect for night owls looking for a place to shimmy and shake.

Night lights and disco brights can be enjoyed at George’s Mediterranean Restaurant as the venue transforms into “Discoteca III”,  a Donna Summers inspired Disco playground of mirror balls, LED dance floor and 70’s and 80’s tunes.

Bungalow 8 and The Loft have teamed up get Sydneysiders shuffling with an incredible DJ line up including Aston Shuffle and Luke Million. Final release tickets are new selling for $69 with various VIP packages also available.

If dancing on the waterfront with views of the NYE fireworks is your thing then Cargo Bar is the place to be. With a line-up of five amazing DJs across two floors and a fun crowd, saying goodbye to 2018 will be a party you’ll never forget.


With a beer in hand…

Froffy, ale, brewsky, beer… whichever way you fondly call your favourite drink, it’ll be served all night long at Beer Deluxe and All Hands Brewing House.

The outdoor beer garden will come to life at NYE at Beer Deluxe with pop-up food stalls and live music. A curated tap beer list of some of the team’s favourite beers will be on show. Entry is free, so get in early to get a good spot!

For a relaxed night with your crew and some brew, check out All Hands Brewing House. The Public Bar has no entry fee and share plates are available from 6pm. For those more than peckish, a two-course dining package is available on the night for $75 pp and includes a pot of All Hands finest beer or a glass of sparkling. A family affair

Kids don’t have to miss out on all the fun with family-friendly New Year’s Eve dinner packages available at Casa RistoranteSteersons SteakhouseNick’s Bar & Grill and Meat District Co.

Choose your sittings and unwind as the restaurant staff attend to your whims while you clink a glass of bubbly or two. Most venues offer sittings between 5pm – 8pm and 8pm till late, with four-course dinners starting from $70 for adults and $30 for children.


Some like it hot

Manjit’s Wharf is pulling out all stops for a Bollywood inspired NYE dinner with a magic show, Bollywood dancers, free flowing drinks and canapes, seven entrees, a buffet selection that will delight all your senses plus dessert. Two sittings are available with dinner and drinks packages starting from $99.
